MINUTES OF A COUNCIL MEETING TO BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY 14th DECEMBER 2022 AT 7.30PM PM VIA ELECTRONIC MEDIA AND AT THE VILLAGE HALL.
Present: Mr David Mantle (Chairperson), Mrs Jane Dawkins, Mrs Beth Carpenter, Mrs Lisa Spencer-Weiss.

A Chairperson was elected by the Councillors. DM
The Chairperson welcomed everyone and thanked them for attending on such a cold night.

2. Declarations of Interest – None
3. Pen March Wind Farm, council will decide whether or not it is for the development. Also Council resolves to seek community benefits after the planning permission is determined.
Council agreed to approve the development. Council also approved a request to the developers to be considered for community benefits and would acknowledge any benefits forthcoming.
4. Council tax and second home premiums are being consulted upon by Welsh Government. They seek to distinguish between second homes and self-catering accommodation.
Clerk to send this response to Welsh Government.
The new tax could seriously affect the number of visitors to the area. The qualifying period should be longer (more than 180 days). It should also be considered with reference to other taxes.
There was a request to include the presentation by the Catherine Mealing-Jones CEO of Brecon Beacon Nation Park Authority on the 24th January agenda.
The Chairman thanked the Councillors for attending and the Clerk.
