Minutes of the Llangynidr Community Council Finance Committee Meeting held on Wednesday 18th January 2023 at 7.30pm.
Present: Mr Harry Duff (Chair), Mr David Williams, Mr Mark Brian and Mrs Jane Dawkins.
Attending:County Councillor Jackie Charlton, Ms Sue Dale (Clerk) and one member of the public.

3 To recommend a budget to the council for 2023/24 – based on the expenditure and income from 1st April 22 to 31st December 22 and anticipated for 1st January to 31st March.The meeting went through the proposed budget line by line and agreed a budget of £22,821.
4 To recommend a precept figure to the council for 2023/24. The prcept derived from the calculations in the paperwork was around 20,000, a precept of £24000 was suggested to allow more flexibility. The meeting agreed on a compromise precept of £22000.
To recommend to Council change from photocopier support to garden day support as security has changed at the school.
To recommend the appointment of a grants committee/officer.
To bring the large pothole near the Red Lion to the attention of Council.
Supported by the figures presented to the finance committee, it was observed that the recommended precept of £22000 would set the Band D council tax for the Community Council at less than £1/week.
