Minutes of the Llangynidr Community Council Finance Committee Meeting held on Tuesday 16th January 2024 at 7.30pm.

3 To recommend a budget to the council for 2024/25 – based on the expenditure and income from 1st April 22 to 31st December 23 and anticipated for 1st January to 31st March. The meeting decided to recommend increasing the “other projects and maintenance” budget by £1500 to £5000 to allow for new projects expenditure such as the solicitors fee for the lease etc. It is recommended that the car park hedge trimming be competed next autumn. The Committee's budget recommendation is for £27774.24. Some matters were referred on to the Community Council: The request for funding from the Crickhowell Volunteer Bureau, the aforementioned lease and planning enforcement.
4 To recommend a precept figure to the council for 2024/25 based on the budget calculated at 3. The precept derived from the calculations was around £24500. £24500 was agreed for recommendation to Council. Supported by the figures presented to the finance committee, it was observed that the recommended precept of £24500 would set the Band D council tax for the Community Council at less than £1/week that is less than £40/year.
